We've been enjoying camping all over the North West Rockies...Mt. Rainier, Diablo Lake, St. Regis (17 mile kayak trip with 22 women!) and Whithouse campgrounds along Lochsa river in Idaho, along HW12. Great summer so far...when fires subside, heading to Waterton and Banff area...

Great news about getting another companion, Vince! Im sure you miss Cassie...Patti says hi! Yes were having some fun with the new 28'...heading to East Glacier next week then up into Canada for a week. Not sure when we will head south...

Woke up at home this morning, grateful for being alive, and having the sun greet us through the trees . . .

The AS is in the drive ready for the next trip, after life stops getting in the way and the campgrounds are less crowded, when schools are back in session.

Swapped out the 23D for the Classic, so am enjoying Sunday with the second cup of coffee in more spacious accommodations at Ponderosa Shadows Airstream RV park.

Due to my wife's mother having failing health, she has spent most of the summer at her mother's bedside in the UK. Thus no road trips until this fall (unless there is the anticipated call to come back to the UK for the final eventuality). I was there for the first trip this spring for several weeks.

At least here we are out of the 100 degree heat of the Phoenix area.

OK Otra14, got the message....back to Sunday Morning posts....here's my AS this Sunday Morning, in our yard in Lincoln.....as we prepare today to go to Glacier tomorrow and Canada later in the week. Yes, it's great to be retired, no set schedule, living in the NW of Montana, with a new AS and several travel options....of course this time of year dodging fires is part of planning up here. Spent last week in Canada; Banff, Jasper, and Radium Hot Springs...woke up in Jasper Sunday...nice area, but lots of fires in Canada...no campfires makes for early nights to sleep. But, scenery was great! Now in West Glacier...very smoky also.

At Castle airport,Merced county,Atwater,California,95301.
106 F heat warning.Government warning that we would not have enough power to run AC.
2 weeks ago it was merced county water supply at airport was out for 5 days.
Poor old California this area has no cable TV,very poor to no internet.
some times even my smart phone has no data service available.
But we came here from AZ to help fiend fix their airplanes and we will survive all the California crash dummies for cell phones can hand out.
