Wow, some of you are really ready for the year with everything planned. There are many places we want to go but seem to always stay close to home with unit rallies. We camped last spring at the Keys and a few nights at Fort DeSota. I agree - a beautiful park. We were there when it was awarded the Best Beach in America! Camped at Altoona for '96 Olympics in Atlanta and loved it. This year we would like to go to Florida in the spring and head up to New England in the summer.

I'm off to Vera Cruz Mexico on friday. Three weeks in the tropics is what this South Dakota boy needs.

Already done all our traveling for the year
Unless something radical changes with my job (unlikely), I have used all my time off for the rest of the year attending the Florida State rally last week. At least I will have plenty of time to work on our Overlander...

As mentioned in my earlier post, went to northern AZ's White Mountains for some fishing over Memorial Day. Off this weekend to check out Ponderosa Shadows, the Airstream Park, in ShowLow sans trailer. Off to Yellowstone in mid-Sept. with the trailer for some fall hiking, photography and fishing. Long weekend next month to go to Spruce Creek in PA for some glorious browns. Did I mention, I like to fish?

Page and I took a great trip back in Feb down the East coast of FL, to Key West, then up the West coast. Saw a lot of FL that I had never seen. Truly enjoyed Homosassa Springs and Sanibel Island. Tybee Island (GA) and Key Largo also favorites. Everglades still shows hit from storms last year and was surprisingly dry - but got to see lots of wildlife because they were concentrated.

Intending to go to Florida, this winter. Like Leesburg area. Have 25' Safari. Any good leads on a campground in Leesburg area for Jan, Feb & Mar?
Anyone been to Grand Lake RV Resort? Is it awfully remote?

I'd like to fill in the NW section of our US map or the NE next summer. Both are bare and deserve some attention. Maine/NewB and Washington/BritC are both a long, long way from midMissouri, so we'll wait and see what the wander gods have planned for us. Before then, somewhere in the Ozarks this late fall and hopefully, the Second Can Opener in January. ~G
