I have a few names to call tomorrow for repair, and when I get home will have all the lugs replaced. And I will use the spare until I can have the ejected tire checked out. Thanks to all, and particularly the lovely offer for margaritas and moral support!

Brad,

Any chance for a closeup of the lug hole in the wheel itself from the lug nut side? I'm not claiming expertise at all, but that shiny area around the lug looks like it was rubbing from being loose. And only an easy chair observation.

Here are two shots of the wheel..., one just keeping things in perspective.

Lucky there was not more damage. A macro closeupnpf the studs would be helpful. Put a jack under it to save the other axle. Not good to have all the weight one axle.

Not to get too anal, but here is (hopefully) a better picture of the wheel. And again, keeping things in perspective, not the worst place in the world to be broken down, all things being what they are.

It's obvious, your A1 problem is the Marathons...

Any lug head could see that...

A macro closeup of the stud would helpful. Press that little flower thingy on your phone or camera to take a macro (closeup) image.

Will take a picture in the morning. These are 16" LT Michelins... they all match (each other), except, as you might guess, one is casually sitting beside the trailer while the others are where they belong.

I suspect you may be looking at Safari Rick's picture and mistaking it for mine.
