What's the best and worst advice you've received?
This Forum is a mine of information, most of it good and all of it well intentioned, which is something us newbies really appreciate.
What's the best and worst Airstreaming or camping advice you've received?
For me the best advice was "Don't try to do more than 400 miles a day"; that worked just perfectly for us on our recent 18 day jaunt.
The worst? "You can't tow that trailer with a minivan", Oh yes I can! (with a little help from my friends, I hasten to add)

My best advice came when I was newby, all the little tips like drain the black tank first, then gray tank. Or level first then stabilize. I can think of lots of these little tips which sank in and became second nature.
Worst for me was constant recommendations to buy larger than you think you need (friends not airforums) so you don't outgrow it. If you're a single traveler, you may be best to listen to other solo travelers rather than couples. While I didn't buy grossly larger than I need, I think a little smaller and trimmer would have been appropriate for my pattern of usage.
BTW I did in one post strongly recommend against pulling a larger Airstream with a Sienna, but the post was specific to higher elevations in Rockies. So I may have given some "worst advice" lol.

As I said, the advice on the Forum is always well intentioned so I have no problem with that. I was thinking about an individual of our acquaintance, not an Airstreamer or even an SOB type, who told us that we were about to kill ourselves if we so much as set a wheel on the road without a monster truck out front. Fortunately we didn't take his advice but went to someone who really did know about towing Airstreams; we've not looked back since. Except in the mirrors of course!

Set your refrigerator manually.
Hi, I can only think of one, well intentioned, bit of advise that I got from a stranger in a campground. He said that he believed that using the refrigerator in the "AUTO" Mode was hard on the circuit board and to set your refrigerator manually to AC or GAS. So I though that I would try this out and set mine on AC. That day we drove all day long in hot weather and when I got to our next site, I noticed my refrigerator was off because I unplugged my trailer from shore power and didn't manually set it to GAS. That was the one and only time that I set my refrigerator manually. [my food stayed cold because we never opened it during our trip that day]

Best advice, which pertains to buying vintage: Buy the best trailer that you can up front. Saved us a lot of headaches (not that there weren't others remaining.)
Second best advice: Check for bad floors, even in modern trailers. Saved us from buying a rotting 2001 Bambi 16'.
Got to say, I've been lucky enough to avoid (or just block out) most of the bad advice. I do agree with the sentiments against buying a bigger trailer up front (although some upsizing seems inevitable) and I had started out towing with our minivan anyway...
