Totally shocked.

Hi, I'm totally shocked that some of you are reporting gas prices under $3.00 a gallon, but I don't expect to see it here in Southern California.

$2.49 for unleaded southeast of Kansas City today. I filled my truck (25 gallons) and figure that I saved about two 30 packs of Bud on that fillup as compared to the $3.99 we used to pay. I should drive around more and save up for another 30 pack! Figure in recycling the cans and I think I'm making money.

Diesel should be at 1.79$ at the very least or..less..
Question..
When was the last time anyone walked 1/2 mile (even) to exercise and, save fuel?
"Walk more and drive less."

Ft. Polk, LA, Infantry school, in November, 1966. Actually, you are right that a lot could be accomplished by walking or combining trips, at the very least. I used to walk to the road to get my paper but a sucession of Golden Retrievers handle it now. Currently, Otis, is the designated paper retriever!

More to the point: $2.45 in Independence, MO this a.m.

$2.98 for middle grade in Lapeer Michigan today and a line to get to the pumps, $3.29 on the way home from the UP earlier today. Wish it had been this low when I went to Washington this summer!!!!! Could have gotten home and turned around and gone back.

Proud of ya~!

Whew, that is tough but, it's good to know you still walk~!..
For myself..
I walk every single day..anywhere from 10 to 17 miles around my town and, I notice the license plate numbers of those vehicles that pass me by..(a number of them, more than once). Since Aug 20th of this year, I have walked nearly 600 miles..but, I still can't pull the airstream yet~!
My son reported tonight that regular was below the 3.00$ mark for the first time that he noticed..

3.47 for Diesel here today a drop of 20 cents over night, regular gas is 2.89, hope it all keeps going lower, especially the diesel.

Today I was on I-85 southbound between Spartanburg and Greenville SC. I though it was a mistake....or that I was mistaken, but regular was $2.78!!

If it keeps falling I might be able to drive Airstream One again for business.

Ozark Missouri

I waited until I couldn't wait much longer to see what happens with the price of Unleaded. I filled up yesterday morning @ $2.46 and on my way home in the afternoon it had dropped to $2.43!

I never can catch a break. Although I'm not complaining.

Well, good ol' Fairfield County Connecticut; On the way to the office today regular pump your own pay cash ranged from a low of $3.05 to $3.39 per gallon. All are name brand stations. I think it stinks that the state (Gov. Rell) overturned an old law that did not allow higher prices for credit card sales. So if you use your card at the pump all stations are charging an extra $0.10 per gallon.

Tomorrow morning, gas goes to 99¢ a litre, which with current currency exchange and conversion to US gallons is $3.19 a gallon.

Now, if only I could get my pension fund back.
