Hendersonville NC

3.65 Reg
3.75 Mid
3.85 Premium

Gas went down a couple of weeks ago, and even though $/barrel is going down, the price at the pump is not. It can go up due to weather, but the going down doesn't seem to be as speedy!

We are in the mountains of NC, so it is a little higher here.

$3.75 for Diesel, $3.65 for Regular.
I started driving an old Jag based on a differential of +$.50 between gas and diesel...I guess thats like switching lines at the checkout 'cause the other is moving quicker...

It went down a bit here: C$1.22 per litre for regular gas, or about US$4.25 per US gallon.

Shocked, still coming down.

Hi, today at the local Shell Station, the prices came down again. I only report the prices from the Shell station because it's near my house and the least expensive of the major brands. I do not buy from Arco, Costco, Joe's Dairy, any Super Markets, or the No-Name stations. [junk gas] I have seen too many vehicles [at the dealers that I have worked at since 1968] with driveabilty concerns, clogged filters, and poor performance issues caused by people useing cheap fuel.

Regular..................................$3.69

Mid Grade...............................$3.79

Premium..................................$3.89

Diesel.....................................$4.19

Although I would like it to keep coming down, I can live with this. All of my vehicles use premium fuel. Southern California will always be on the high side.

I bought fuel yesterday at a Shell station for $3.89; down a dime from two weeks ago.

Bob is right about the California fuel costs. This summer it was the most expensive fuel I bought during the entire 5k mile trip. I paid $5.79 in Marina, CA on the Monterey Pen.

Insanity Is Setting In

Just got back from Hendersonville, NC, stations are running out of gas - Hello Houston We Have a Problem. Seems that the oil companies are already poising themselves for Hurricane Ike, and have been for a week and a half, raising prices. Now people are panicking and buying gas as fast as they can and the refineries have shut down and deliveries are halted until after Ike hits the Houston area.

Anyone else see this around the south or the rest of the country?

Hi John

You must visit the UK.

Just filled up my Jeep Commander with 72 litres of Diesel for £87 pounds. That is $153 US Dollars

3.53 for regular in atl

Oil is at 103 per barrel and on a downward trend. The Saudis left the Opec meeting...and traders are dumping oil commodities. So we could actually see Oil go well below 100 a barrel, and gas go down to below $3. This is a wishful prediction based on what i have been reading. I hope Chavez is truly upset by all this.

I paid $4.199 for diesel on Wednesday at my local BP. Have seen a real roller coaster at the nearby Race Trac where the volume allows them to respond to volatility in the market almost immediately.

Monday= $3.57
Tuesday=$3.55
Wednesday=$3.57
Thursday=$3.54

They don't sell diesel.
