5.28 for REGULAR in Death Valley, diesel 5.49 yes that is not a misprint. I left early and skipped on by that station. I can see why they call it death valley, the long grade will almost kill a gasser, lol.

Northeast Connecticut hit 4.999 for diesel today at the local fuel and tire place. The pump is set to half the price and they double the total. Pump doesn't go that high.

Wow! The station nearest my house has regular for $4.15! That's the highest I've seen here yet. No doubt there is worse to come.

Lowest price in Summit county Colorado $3.77 at the Foodmart in Silverthorne, the highest is a few hundred feet away at the Shell station for $4.19 reg. It never ceases to amaze me that the Shell station is just as busy even though they're always that much higher. The highest I've seen in the area is $4.34 in Edwards Colorado. I thought we would be worse at the start of camping season but we still jumped 32 cents in 1 week.

Fuel prices are not creeping up, they're galloping! Looking back in this thread, speculation was gas hitting $5 by Independence Day. Boy, ain't that ironic...

I'm wondering what's the rush? What freakin' "world event" (other than greed and politically sanctioned theft), are the oil barons/speculators using to justify this run on the bank? This is NOT supply & demand, it's gouging and it is effecting everything we do in this country, directly and indirectly.

Grrrrr....

I would post a complete analysis of the oil problems as discussd with a friend of mine who is a retired petroleum engineer, but it is laced with politics, and someone likely would complain as blame is properly assigned based on experience in the field.

Regular cost $4.39.9 at Chevron nearest the entrance of Sequoia National Park in Three Rivers, Ca. What a rip off for tourists going to the Park. Locals look for cheaper prices in Visalia, Ca. and surrounding areas, as we do not want to pay what our home town stations charge.
I know that something can be done about this as when Reagan, and the first Bush were in office they used to put a freeze on what the Oil Cos. could charge and did not let the Oil Co.s get rich off backs of the middle and poor working class of America. There I said it and I feel a lot better now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here in the Sliverton/Salem, Or area regular is pushing close to $4 and the Safeway store has diesel at 4.69.

This fuel situation is really causig a financial problems for a lot of people across this Nation. As things stand right now, this is our last extended trip out with our AS. We'll take short distance trips and stay several days without moving.

Today at the local Shell

Hi, today at the local Shell station:

Regular..............................$3.99

Mid-grade...................$4.09

Premium................$4.19

Diesel.............$5.09

Also, on this forum, people keep saying "Un-leaded" is that just a habbit or does someone acually sell leaded gas? Un-leaded gas cost me major engine damage about 25 years ago.

Now that is a deal! This morning regular was anywhere from $4.19 to $4.51. As I mentioned earlier, fill up now because come 4th July it will be over $5.00 if not sooner around here.
