I feel like I just robbed a bank!
Driving down Rt One in North Hampton I pulled into a "Full Service" station and paid $3.19 for Diesel! I asked the attendant if that was the correct price??? Yup, I wanna sell fuel! Every other station Passed was no less than $3.59
We can have SPAM for Suppa

Cheaper by the minute.............
Unleaded gas at Quik-Trip in Independence, MO, was $2.17 this morning!
Anyone besides me remember .19 gas in the early 60's? It seems to me that gas was about $2.25 this time last year. Odd, isn't it? (No political inference intended!)

Currently in Morro Bay, CA and lowest reg gas is 3.27. You people in MO should be ashamed of yourselves putting that obviously inferior 2.17 stuff in your vehicles. Yeas I remember 19 cent gas and I paid 23/24 cents as late as 1970 in OK but the stations were having a gas war. Haven't seem many of those recently.

I ran a Sunoco station, and one time we had a price war with the Esso station across the road. 190 was 19.2 cents, and the guy at the Esso station cried Uncle. His lowest price? 19.6 cents...
BTW, what's the deal with premium gas only being 91 octane? Back East it is 93...

What altitude was that gas at? Regular is 87 octane at sea level, but 85 here in Colorado. I think it changes at around 3,000'.
We've done this before, but 14.9¢ after WW II during gas wars in NJ. I wasn't driving.

Reg. unleaded is still $3.29 in Edwards where I work but we've moved down to $2.89 here in Dillon. I was in Denver yesterday getting new snow tires and paid $2.55 by the Park Meadows mall. I've noticed a big drop in mileage already with the snow tires on. I wish I didn't need them but I drive over the Vail pass daily.

Paid 3.03 in Barstow, CA yesterday. Now in Twentynine Palms and the lowest I've seen in this area is 3.15. With the major drop in crude oil prices it should be a lot lower. Not that I'd want to accuse anyone of gouging...........

You know, it wasn't but a few weeks ago that we would fill up now, to avoid the higher price later.
We are headed out with our Caravel next Wednesday for a couple of weeks. I think I will wait until Wednesday morning to fill. The price at the corner went down $.05 between 10:00 and 10:30 this morning, then another $.05 this afternoon. Now $3.15 in Laguna Hills.
In California we pay 7.5% state sales tax over and above the usual state and federal taxes. That's $.22 of that $3.15 current price.

Yeah, California likes there taxes.... It seems to me northern Ca. should be it's own state.. It's some much different than southern Ca.... But I could be asking for a tongue lashing here... Sorry if I offended anyone.

Hi, no offense here; Southern California could be it's own state too. Actually there has been talk [only talk] that there could be three states made from California. You said "different", not better; And it is, "different".

No tongue lashing from me. It's the truth. Californians vote in tax after tax. In defense, I'm not sure they are always told the whole story. For instance, there is an issue on the ballot November 4th that is supposed to promote alternative energy. Sounds good, right? The problem is, one of the things it does is give "cash rebates" to people who buy cars powered by alternative energy. If those cars are a good deal, they will sell on their own merit, not need "rebates". In the same breath, we are told that it will not increase taxes. Is the money for those rebates going to just fall out of the sky? Where is that money going to come from? Trust me, it will come from taxes in a state which is already up-side-down. But, some, either believe, or just can't figure out the double talk.
As far as making California two states, I have a home at each end. Believe me, the only difference would be location.
