Regular went up to $3.49 from $3.35 yesterday. Never understand how it goes up over night when no gas has been delivered. Seems like they would charge a higher price when they pay a higher price, not charge different prices for the gas that's already in their tanks. I'm sure there's something I don't understand here, but seems like a little bit of a rip-off.

I now cost roughly a thousands dollars more a year to drive a diesel 20,000 miles than it does for the same gas rig. .... wheres the incentive to buy fuel efficent diesel trucks? Truck sales are in the toilet according to first quarter stats. RV sales were down 31 % in the first quarter. Grociers are up 18% the first quarter. This is worse than expected.
Fuel is 4.55 per gallon for REG here in Wrangell and I have no Idea what they are paying in the interior. Most all fuel comes in on a airplane up there. Heating Oil at 4.40 and the fuel for my boat is not going to be good.

Wow now I feel bad about fussing about 3.59 a gallon for reg.. Might have to tap in on the pipe line and drain off a couple hundred gallons for yourself haha ...SAM

Standard business practice for pricing what ever the market will bear
Harrumph! Now we know what the VP and oil barons talked about in their secret meeting... Nationalize 'em...

I heard on the tube on the other day the dollar has half the value it had a couple of years ago. That makes crude oil cost twice as much, thus if the dollar hadn't been cheapened so much, gas would cost a lot less now.
It's been cheapened so American products sell better overseas, but that hasn't fixed the balance of payments problem—it's just as bad as it was a couple of years ago. And because of our massive annual debt, the dollar is just not worth as much either. The Federal Reserve has been printing money like a third world country to keep the economy going and bail out bankers who gave stupid loans that any rational person should have known were going to default. A debt ridden country that prints so much money that presses get hot always has a weak currency. So some people pay lower taxes, but every one else pays more for gas, food, products, etc.
The middle class got a few hundred dollar break on taxes, but all of it goes away at the gas pump, the grocery store and to buy foreign made products.

Under $600 annually, actually. It depends on the truck and the driver. The difference is nil when diesel is 50-cents more per gallon. As bad as my last gas truck was, the difference is less than that above. And since diesels will outwork ANY gas truck towing extra heavy, the re-sale is always good.
