Regular 87 is heading north of $3.70 per gal here in Northern Calif.
It has currently been going up several cents every 3 or 4 days around the Stockton-Lodi areas.
You won't see our lawmakers making any statements in favor of lowering these prices as the State gets wind fall Sales Tax profits as the prices rise!
I believe our domestic oil producers are charging what ever the local market will pay, with the world market prices as an excuse...while the oil being produced within the USA borders hasn't essentially changed in price for years...we consumers are being 'taken' for an ever increasing 'ride' for our vehicle fuels, while the producers keep 'raking' in HUGE profits! Just look at their quarterly reports...Billions and Billions in profits coming from the increasing pump prices, while their costs haven't changed to any great degree! I wonder how these executive 'banditos' sleep at night? Probably just fine, with all that cash in their mattress'!
I'm sure glad the oil companies get all those tax breaks so new oil can be found and the prices are kept down. After all, the US has 3% of world reserves and they would probably last a few months if fully developed. Thanks to Sen. Peter Dominick (R-NM) for fighting for all of us for getting those tax breaks to those poor oil companies a couple of years ago and then fighting to make sure they kept those tax breaks so there would be no money for tax credits for renewable and alternative fuels last year.
Now we take a 5 gallon gas can with us when we go to GJ so we don't have to drive the gas sucking TV there to fill it up—and we don't use the truck too often. Gas is generally 20¢ more per gallon out here than in GJ.
Just paid $4.09, felt good about it, $4.19 to 4.24 at other stations.....
Trying a fuel additive, heck, I'd rather pay for that technology than pay those FREEKIN oil companies.
Regla is anywhere from $3.09 to $3.25
So, the government tries to help us, hauls the execs into a committee meeting, asks why the disparity in the fuel prices, Gas Vs Diesel, Gas goes up 20 cents Diesel 10 cents. And that helped?
Some day they will in the end pay..........
