We continue to have higher than normal prices in eastern Washington. Yesterday we dipped below 3 bucks - $2.99 per Gal for regular. Diesel is still at $3.21 ):

Our fuel prices have been very, very slow in going down. Maybe now that snow is forecast for the weekend we might see them go down a few cents! Can always hope! Highmark

Greenville, SC prices are all over the place but the station nearest me has regular for $2.31 and Diesel $2.89  I have been buying diesel up the road for $2.72

good prices deserve attention...
2.02$ for regular at the hyvee after buying food....
this place will go under 2.00 before the weekend....
diesel sludge still 2.55$ but nearly a buck less than 10 days ago...
nytimes quoted petrol expert
who indicated the 'fear factor' on oil pricing was 10-20$ per barrel....
saudi oil lord says barrel price should be 50-55$...
they are playing with us but lower is good!

Well, I remember back in 1980, when oil jumped to $35 a bbl, they started pumping all those old oil wells in Pennsylvania. I was a contractor hauling fracturing sand for Halliburton. There were wells everywhere in NW Pa. They had them in peoples back and front yards, in Burger King and McDonalds parking lots in Bradford. I spoke to one gentleman who was pumping a lease of about 30 wells, with "Central Power", behind the Halliburton camp. He said he was getting 3/4 to 2 bbl a day, per well. These were wells drilled in the early 1900's. Does not seem like a lot, but that is almost $1000 a day, at that price. Most of the crude was hauled to Quaker State in Emlenton, Pennzoil in Rouseville or United in Warren. QS and PZ refineries are shut down and being torn down.
Paid $2.63 for diesel on Saturday in Alachua. Was running around $2.77 cash at the truckstops in Ocala.

Paid $2.27 in Auburn Hills Michigan. The Suburban was near empty so 27 gallons still requires a small home equity loan.
