Last week, gas was down to $3.06 for a couple of days. Then the station at the corner jumped to $3.11, $3.13, and then over last night to $3.23. Ten cents over night!
I shudder to think were we are going to be this summer. I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see us get in the $3.25-$3.50 range in the St. Louis area.
We are currently down to $2.79 after a run up to $2.89 earlier last week.
I just traded my Accord for a Civic. I'll pick up another 8 mpg or so...I'll channel that savings toward the gas for the van this summer.
Jack
Jack,
There have been several newspaper articles recently indicating that Canadians shouldn't be surprised to see gasoline hit $1.50 liter by 2009. There are lots of qualifiers but the bottom line is they are socializing the numbers now so we don't have too many heart attacks at the gas pumps when they lay the big numbers on us. $1.13 liter today.

It is always a shock to see what it costs just in the rest of the US- The only other place I've seen it as high as here in California is in Chicago. It's about 20 cents higher here on the coast than in the Bay Area, go figure. I traded my Accord V6 for a Honda Fit last year, 36-38 mpg. If only it could tow the Globetrotter.
$3.03 for Regular
$3.59 for Diesel
The foolish part is, 10 miles away, Same brand, $3.79????
