I win! I win! $3.49 for regular. Highest price in the US it seems is right here in the Humboldt Bay area of Northern California. It's caused me to cancel a planned trip to Mt Rushmore and stay closer to home this spring. Anybody else change their travel plans because of the prices? Jamie

Hi, I wouldn't cancel your plans due to California gas prices; Once you leave the state [especially your area] gas will be cheaper.

Funny how this thread springs back to life............

Here in NE Ohio, Reg. $2.75, Diesel $2.95

Interesting to see the gap in the price of gas vs. diesel narrowing, or in some places, higher.

3.09 For Chevron, Costco 2.96 yesterday. Deisel 2.99 cutrate station to 3.19 for Brand name. This is the first time in years that diesel has been even close to gas in price. Here in Washington state the diesel usually runs anywhere from 30 to 60 cents a gallon more than gas. However, I just checked the beach resorts and they are 3.49 for regular on average but you can drive down the road a few miles away from the beach and it drops significantly.

Am I reading this numbers correctly? I pay $3.40 a gallon for gasoline here in Los Angeles. Are there really places in the country where it is below $2 a gallon? I'm confused.

Oh, wait...I think I'm reading some old posts....

Tell me about it. And their beautiful cars too. Anyhow, I don't know if you read any of my other posts but I gave my landlord my 30-day notice last week, so all the beautiful people can kiss my big beautiful behind as I head out of here. I just wish I could find a trailer to travel away in. I may have to get more serious and start looking harder. I need a TV too.
