That's it! My pix is the day before when it was a bit cheaper. Bob, I saw an 80's Excella, towed by a green chevy dually in Stovepipe, and a few others in Furnace Creak. Where was you?

Here in north east Texas we are still holding around $3.49 for regular unleaded. Looking at a short trip Thursday and thinking the shorter the better at these prices.

$1.30/litre or about 4.95 per US gallon. Diesel is several cents per litre higher. I suspect the days of 'cheap' fuel have ended for good.
Cheers, George

What do you think powers the chinese economy and global trade?

I just toured a container ship that goes back and forth between LA and China. It has a single diesel engine, single 1meter thick shaft and 6 meter diameter propeller. It's fuel line was one meter in diameter.
That is why diesel is so expensive these days and will stay more expensive than gas.

This is as recent as last week. Just got home from a trip to and through Florida from NJ. When I left it was $3.73 here in NJ. When I got home it was $3.79 at the cheaper end. Lowest on my trip was $3.58 in South Carolina. Highest was $4.29 in Everglades City, Fla. Most of Florida was in the range of $3.86 - $3.89. South Carolina was back up to $3.79 on the return trip. The average cost throughout my trip was $3.87.

I guess it is what it is

$3.55 for reg here in STL. It's in the 3.7x range for diesel. I know it won't be long and the local stations have to switch blends to meet emissions standards. That adds to the price. Interesting that all of the fuel locally is pretty much produced at a Conoco/Phillips refinery east of us. If you ever see the fuel terminal you see all the different brand tankers fill. The drivers dump in the specific additives that are supplied by the individual branded outlet.
