$3.11 for regular in the Humboldt Bay area. But we don't need to go anywhere because this is Heaven!

I think it will become just like an insurance premium, but instead of raising your premium every 3-6 months it will be every 3-6 weeks for no reason.

Since John started this thread in February of 2003 we sure have seen some dramatic ups and downs in fuel costs and even more of a difference deepending where in the country you live.I thought it prudent to quote John's original post to bring things back to perspective. Today in CT regular, self serve was $2.79.

Yep...here in SoCal, diesel is finally lower price than Supreme, but that is only because supreme is $3.49 down at the corner Exon/Mobil. Deisel is ONLY $3.29 and regular is $3.09.

This one is gonna make you laugh...on the local news they said that sudden 20 cent jump in prices was caused by some errant racoon who chewed some wires at one local refinery and a rat(or something furry) nesting in another.

I THINK WE ALL NO WHO THE RATS ARE, SAY G'NIGHT ARNOLD!!!!

Here in NE Ohio, Diesel is about $2.70, Regular $2.50. The margin between the 2 seems to be narrowing, and the Diesel price is much more stable. I also got smart and started filling from my home heating oil tank in the barn. Saves me $.60 a gallon. I'm using a lot more this year, the delivery guy commented. My reply, been cold, I don't like to be cold in the shop.

Regular unleaded: $3.29
Diesel: $3.09

This is the first time in over four years that diesel has been cheaper than gas in our area.
