$3.55 for reg here in STL. It's in the 3.7x range for diesel. I know it won't be long and the local stations have to switch blends to meet emissions standards. That adds to the price. Interesting that all of the fuel locally is pretty much produced at a Conoco/Phillips refinery east of us. If you ever see the fuel terminal you see all the different brand tankers fill. The drivers dump in the specific additives that are supplied by the individual branded outlet.

We use Chevron only in our vehicles so not sure what other stations charge however after sitting at $3.59 for 87 octane for almost 2 weeks it went up over night to $3.65. The crumby part is our second car requires 91 octane minimum.

Yes. I saw it hit $4.05 at what had been the lowest priced station in town (AZ) today.

Here in southern alberta canada $1.11 a liter so if your gallon is 3.8 liter that should make it $4.21 a US gallon

Gas in the US cost about 31¢ in 1960. That's $2.32 in today's money. There was no cartel in 1960 and speculation on commodity exchanges was regulated or nonexistent in gasoline. Things have changed. Efforts to control speculation on the commodity exchanges have been opposed by special interests and they usually get most or all of what they want.

Wholesale gas closed Friday at $3.26. Retail runs about 60-80¢ above that and continues to lag behind in some places and we seem to live in the middle of one of them for a change.

Just got back north from Flagstaff, diesel was a low of $3.97 @ Safeway in Flag (with card) and it kept getting higher as we came north through Nevada and Oregon. High was $4.29 in Winnemucca and $4.35 in Oregon on I-84. If you can, avoid the traditional "cheap" big box truckstops, fuel is twenty cents +- cheaper in town if you look where the locals fuel. In 1600 miles, we blew $430.00, which is about $140.00 more than we usually budget. We're happy that Bess gets such good mileage, but still, pricey, higher than 2008!
