Question What is the cost of fuel in your area?

I've seen a spike in fuel prices just in the last few days.

Reg Unleaded was $1.46 4 days ago. Now $1.65

Diesel is now running @ $1.72

Could you share what the current price is in your area?

Thanks-John

Hi John.. Not good here in SWO (south western ontario)

I paid 82 cents / litre a few days ago for REGULAR. In some parts of Canada the price is close to 1.00 / litre.

That is roughly $4.00 CDN for an American Gal.

That is roughly $2.40 American for an American Gal.

High Everywhere.....

I just filled up my wife's Blazer for $1.58, then went home to get my truck and fill it up. When I returned it was $1.71!!! Boy was I torqued over that!! The Sunoco station on the corner has diesel for $1.899, while a locally owned fuel distributor that has decent prices has it for $1.75. While I was at the distributor, "Warpath" from irv2.com pulled in with his ShowHauler RV to fill everything up (diesel and propane) for his trip to Florida! Wow, what an awsome rig.

This morning it was

$1.699 Regular Unleaded
$1.749 Mid-Grade Unleaded
$1.799 Premium Unleaded

at the local Texaco/Shell station. We needed gas bad, so didn't shop around...just bucked up!

Since it looks like we will be going to war shortly, I'm expecting to pay around $2.00 per gallon for Reg Unleaded while traveling out west.

This will add about $100.00 to the trip, not too damaging, but still money I'd rather not spend on gas.

Georgia is usually the lowest in the US, and it was 145 for regular today, but I have seen some as high as 149.
That is some rv in the photo above>>> RV??? more like a DV (dominating vehicle). I saw a few of the smaller freighliner RV haulers in Alabama over Christmas. Way cool.

Southern California:
$ 1.85 reg nolead
$ 1.95 med grade nolead
$ 2.08 Super nolead
$ 1.69 Diesel ( different station)
This is a Shell in the middle of town. It's usually much more near the Interstates.

I'm dusting off my old MB 220D for the duration......29mpg at $1.69 is more appealing than 12mpg at $1.95 in the Dodge.

It's a cruel world!

price gouging investigation

In Central Texas the prices for regular about $1.58-1.60-
Governor says he will investigate price gouging, as at this time there is no real reason for prices to be so high.

reg $1.63 to to 1.70
mid $1.73 and up
hitest $1.85 to 2.00

how about the pump changing price just as you pick it up + 10 cents. huing it up and went some where cheaper. i think it will be $2.00 before the idiots do something to calm the gas market.

From $1.77 to $1.91 in Central CA for regular unleaded.

I saw a station that had a freeway sign advertising $1.69 but when I went by it 2 miles later the price at the station was $1.75. NOW THAT'S FAST!!

Now that's a rig you would feel comfortable going over almost any mountain pass with.

Shell and Amoco tried to go to $1.75 the day before last. Quik Trip went to $1.69. Shell and Amoco backed down to $1.69 Quik Trip went to $1.65.

Quik Trip pretty much controls prices in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

Can't wait until spring when the reformulated gas starts its appearance. That usually adds $.10 a gallon.

Diesel running way to high for bottom of the barrel fuel, no matter where your traveling. Thought of using old french fry oil but everytime I would go into the AS I would want to eat. In the long run it's probablly cheaper to buy diesel than fries.
