I pulled a 25' and now a 30' with my F-150. If I was towing more, I'd opt for a 3/4 or 1 ton. But towing for 6-8 weeks out of the year I just take it easy and the F-150 actually does really well. We also travel very light. As mentioned above, I moved to LT tires (80 psi but I run them around 50) and that helped tremendously.

What capacity tow vehicle will I need?!

My half ton Silverado and my 1/2 ton Tahoe do a fine job with my 31 foot trailer. And I don't travel light.

Brevi tempore!

The fact that I am opinionated does not presuppose that I am wrong......

Our Ram 1500 just completed 300 miles today of a planned 2,000 mile trip cross country. It has already taken us coast-to-coast twice and border-to-border three times. We ride smoothly and comfortably with and without the Airstream attached. An inexpensive truck to buy, maintain, and drive, it does a great job.

We manage our loads in the truck and Airstream, and use a ProPride hitch for rock-solid stability on the road.

Not sure what year Safari 30 you plan to tow, the early ones were lighter than current model 30's, so that information would help. Yes, get the trailer first, then a tow vehicle to match.
