It's all about the water out here on the eastern tip of Long Island. The beach, fishing, boating, surfing, paddling, beach bonfires. There are amazing places to eat and drink and in summer you can't go a full day without seeing some celeb, if that's what you're into. Winter is for winterizing....antifreeze in the airstream and porters and stouts in the owners.

A mere 35 mile to the greatest city in the world, not the closest to city camping here, but the prettiest and easiest, at only $15.00 per night!

Bus or train less than five miles from campground. Off Rt 80

So the stretch from Baton Rouge to New Orleans doesn't count? Nor Grafton to Alton, Illinois? Nor at Grand Rapids? Interesting!

Bloomiington-Normal is almost at the dead center of the state of Illinois, and at the junction of Interstates 55 N/S and 74 E/W.

Locals refer to our area as flyover country.

Just north of the junction, off 51/39, is a decent and inexpensive county campground.....Comlara Park.

There are not a lot of tourist attractions here, but we are a large twin-cities with some good, stock-up shopping available and hospitable parking lots.

We do have windfarms, cool to see if you have never.

Just south a bit, in Springfield, is the Lincoln museum, sites and library, which are outstanding and worth a stop for even moderate US history buffs.

🏡 🚐 Cherish and appreciate those you love. This moment could be your last.🌹🐚❤️
