I imagine there will be lots of people hanging around in the terraport with a tow vehicle, a couple of Zip Dee chairs, and a dog.
You can hang out in the pet friendly lounge with coffee and wi-fi.
You can take a factory tour.

I forgot to mention one place that WAS worthwhile.

A restaurant called Inn Between. It's located about a half mile west of I 75.

It's a restaurant/bar with a lot of family's in attendance. Probably the best in the area.

Yeah...
When the John Deere tractor takes you little silver house away the groceries are inside...
Breakfast and dinner will be "out".
They may have a snack bar in the waiting area...

I think the term "center" is a bit of a misnomer, unless you consider you are at the center of a bunch of corn fields. There is a golf course maybe 20 minutes away (kind of a municipal course, can't recall the name).

Columbus is an hour away...

There is wifi in the terraport, so you have that going for you.

I stayed at the Terraport late last summer. WiFi did not work out there, at least for me (and I have a WiFi Ranger which will suck about any signal). Had to go inside and sit in the lounge to do email, etc. (Which is fun, because you'll meet the other folks who are there having work done.) I found it really great just watching the techs work on trailers, including my own!

You can bike ride to your heart's delight. The cemetery in Piqua is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in the entire country; the ride out to Lockington Dam is also very enjoyable. Thanks for this link! I will be near Jackson Center in June, when I am staying at a park in Wapakoneta to be near some family members who live at Indian Lake. We'll have bikes, so this is perfect.

I'm from Dayton originally, and can add to the enthusiasm for the Air Force Museum. Excellent! My husband used to dread our annual trek to Dayton from San Diego every Christmas, but being a military enthusiast, he always welcomed a chance to see the museum.

Dayton also has a very good art museum, things going on by the river (warmer months), and a museum dedicated to Orville & Wilbur Wright, those brothers who owned a bicycle shop in Dayton and built and flew the first airplane in their spare time.

Another question for those who've been - if they pick up your rig on the morning, and if you we're there or more than a day or two - what did you do with food packed for camping? I can't imagine you leave it in the fridge. Do you jus use your coolers or go out for breakfast lunch and dinner every day?

Just trying to prepare!

We've decided we will have Daisy spend a few days at our local Camp Bow Wow since we just couldn't find enough dog friendly stuff nearby.

Unless they are shutting down the propane/battery systems for a long period we leave the food in place. We have early (well before 7 am), quick breakfast in the Airstream, lunch locally, and the trailer is back in plenty of time for dinner each day, unless there is some major disassembly going on.

I rather enjoyed sitting in the Subway sandwich shop, watching the trucks barreling through the red light, wondering if someone pulled into traffic right then, would they be pushed into the booth where I was sitting.....

Ok - all you folks who said there's nothing to do here were being GENEROUS! :-)

Wow.

We drove about a half-hour to Sidney and found a place called The Spot To Eat. It's the only place we can find coffee so far. The staff is a riot!

Oh and by the way - if you're coming to the mothership for service and use a heavy duty (2.5") hitch head in your ProPride or Hensley, you'll be towing your own unit in to the service area. He said I was the first they've seen. They literally have every other possible combination on their tractors but that.

Sidney is a nice town, make sure you check out the Bank across the street from 'The Spot'. We tried to warn you that Jackson Center is in the middle of no where!
