I know the store you are talking about. I have a 4wt Sage SLT that I love. Fished the 'Stone a few weeks ago with it and had a great time. I love Paradise Valley - such a beautiful place to fish!

Glad to meet another fly fisherman on the forums!

Sandy

Sandy,
The Paradise Valley is drop dead beautiful; however, our fishing luck wasn't all that good and from what we observed on the Yellowstone, not many others were doing well either. The beauty of the place made up for it. We camped at Edge of the Yellowstone RV and it was a great place with wonderful hosts and while it was rather pricey we enjoyed our visit.
Now to get after some of the local bronzebacks here on The New River!

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Gary,

Enjoyed posting it all and really enjoyed seeing more of your home state. We spent time in Hill City and wandered around from there out of Rafter J Bar Ranch RV Park. We hunt every December based out of Kimball but never had been in The Black Hills. We did try fly fishing in Spearfish Canyon and found it beautiful even though the fishing was tough. It was nice to see South Dakota when it's green instead of brown.

Four more years! Just four more years of working, then I can retire and the Mrs. and I can venture West. These photos really fuel the Manifest Destiny urge within me. I can't wait! Thanks for sharing.

Nice pics of Paradise Valley. I'll have to check out that campsite- it looks fantastic. We ran across a nice small camping spot just past Cameron Bridge on the east side of the river when we were doing a put in for a drift boat float.

I really enjoy fishing the spring creeks there - Armstrong's and DuPuys. You do pay a rod fee but the scenery is drop dead gorgeous so it makes up for it if the fish are finicky that day. The water is truly gin clear so you have to be quite stealthy. It's quite nice to have the full run of a ranch for day or half of fishing.

Thanks for the great post - really enjoyable.

Sandy
