Well, after four nights in Lewisville, Texas, off in the direction of Farmington. Sorry you are not going to be there FaN. Or are you?

As the thread is about the "Breakfast Show", my.espresso machine will be hot and ready, LOL

Looking forward to meeting some of you folks there.

Tommie, I will be in Soccorro, NM, the 10th and 11th of July, doing the Gila Wilderness the 13th-19th or so, then planning on going to Chaco Canyon before I start heading toward home.

So, stay in touch and maybe our paths will cross....again.

I'll be posting my travels on my DL II thread.

Have a great trip.

Breakfast....

OK, maybe the "Breakfast Show" is not so much about food, but....yesterday, not only great fudge, pecans, and all sorts of other sweet goods, but a phenomenal breakfast sandwich reminding me of the stuff one gets in NYC for about $15, but for less than $4. And on dark bread!

1955 Pontiac Star Chief Convertible

I was 13 at the time.

These old shows have a quality about them in their honesty....just reality as we all seemed to experience it, not some something today's television is so desperately lacking IMO

And, the train....yup, just do not have that anymore....

I wasn't even born when they rolled-out the Pontiac Star, but
just goes to show, the reruns are timeless, whatever the age.

One of my favourite rainy weekend withdrawls is to escape to the FaN, cuddle down in bed, and watch some of those reruns.

Maybe we will meet up at an I Love Lucy fan convention someday!

BTW....your blueberry waffles have spoiled my beauty sleep.

Lots of blueberry farms in the Fraser Valley. It's 6:55 am on a Saturday morning; the bird cannons are already blasting away.

They're eggs, FaN.....you probably eat them soft.

When we would ask for hard-scrambled eggs in England and Ireland, they would look at us as if we were daft.....everyone else eating them from the shell or with a spoon, barely cooked.

Hi, yes; Bacon, Waffles with Blue Berries, and Scrambled Eggs. I scramble the eggs and add a slice of cheese to them. I have a salt shaker with a matching pepper grinder that isn't consistent and hard to use. Lots of Blue Berries here in Oregon, but these came out of our back yard.

Hi Maggie,

Canadians have to tolerate soft and runny politicians - those eggheads running around Parliament Hill. So, when it comes to eggs, most of us prefer hard-scrambled too.

Just to prove that point, guess what I had for breakfast?....

My apologies to Robert. I hope I did not impugn his culinary skills with my "fried catfish" interpretation.

Scrambled eggs are obviously not very photogenic, i.e. name that plop.

Mine look like mashed potatoes.

I think I have to hide over here a bit where it is safe and friendly and Nellie McClung would have enjoyed a breakfast due to the folks around the table. Jim
