I am having a quiet time this morning with my coffee, and when I read this, I think about ----- ' if you can be obsessed with an object this much, what level of LOVE you could offer a sole mate'!

I decided to forego the visit, but took the road that skirts the dealership's service yard home. I think I saw a glimmer of the FaN's skin squished amongst the SWBs and massive Class A motorhomes.
Oh, what pangs of longing! How do I miss thee. Let me count the..... rivets?

Did you see the photo circulating yesterday of the marine and his bride, praying together right before their wedding?
They didn't want to see each other before she came down the aisle, were holding hands around a door frame, she was crying.
I'm a sucker for love.
Maggie
P.s. Good to see you back, FaN.

That is a memorable photo. They will need all the love they can muster; it is not easy for military spouses/families. PBS broadcast an excellent documentary about those families last weekend called "The Homefront."
Thanks for the welcome back, Maggie. You are so kind.

Perusing the thread titles --"We Did It!" and "We Finally Did It!" -- reminds me of the Monday morning smoking circle at Little Flower Academy.
Lost virtue aside, dropped into the dealership and it would appear they lost something else. The FaN.
I am sitting here wondering: did I actually take it there two months ago....or did I even own an Airstream trailer?
Was it a delusion?
A psychotic break?
Someone please tell me???

If they can't produce your trailer, I would be tempted to have them charged with grand theft, and let them worry about what you would like from among the 200-odd trailers they seem to have no trouble finding...

Well, the mystery of the missing FaN is solved. It was hidden behind some titanic motorhomes like the London Aire. The London Aire is aptly named; it is a 675k motorhome that is about the size of a double-decker bus. You can't see over it or around it. The dealership's service lot is packed with these things, all belonging to the Canadian Snowbirds who have arrived back on the homefront. It would appear that my beloved FaN is a victim of the old adage, out of sight - out of mind. The window part arrived "sometime ago," but was apparently damaged and sent back. The service manager says this happens "all the time." What the ???? Are the parts thrown into a cardboard box with a dishtowel for "padding."
Anyway, I asked for the FaN's key and my friend and I head out into the crammed service lot. I always thought the FaN was big, but it looks like a mite parked there amongst those over-sized motorhomes. ( Aage, I wouldn't want one of those things, even if it was a case of grand-theft trailer!) I insert the key and the door gives its familiar clunk and my friend and I are inside. I head for the wardrobe and gather up some of my summer tops and flip-flops. (When the FaN was taken in, we were in the midst of a typical wet and cool B.C. Spring. Jeans and sweater weather). I gaze longingly at my bed and the pile of half-read books beside it. (Books that I should have finished seven weeks ago). My friend makes a comment about how she loves the faux cardboard chandelier that dangles from the ceiling, so I yard it down and give it to her. I have more than enough "things." She doesn't - and I just like to give, especially when things aren't going too well because it is a good tonic for the soul. I'll find another one someday. (photo below)
It is a hot day and the FaN's interior air has that stuffy unlived in smell to it, so we exit and lock her up. Walking away - I turn for one last look.
The service manager informs me today that the replacement part should be here in about two weeks.
