Where am I?

France?
Italy?
The Napa Valley?

Nope.

This is the vineyard next door. This is why the Fraser Valley is called the Callifornia of Canada

...but I'm not drinking any Merlot!

That was a pretty good movie in many respects, but such s sad commentary on the depths of shallowness of character to which a human being can sink.

I would like to say I have never known anyone like that, but I have....men and women.

Have a glass for me, FaN, and pick up a bottle or two for our Shirley Valentine rally next September.

Wine is made in western Colorado too and I've heard it is quite good. I don't know personally because I don't like wine. The way I look at it is that the Fraser Valley is the Colorado of Canada.

Oregon too.

Hi, lots of wineries near us in Oregon too. [I don't drink] But I like to look at the fields and buildings. We once went to a winery for tasting I bought a non-alcoholic sparkling fruit drink and Lee said that it was better than the wine.

Maggie, ".....shallowness of character" is a common theme in director Alexander Payne's films. About Schmidt is another great road movie. Payne delves into the vacant character of Warren Schmidt, a life-insurance actuary who has wasted his life measuring life's quantity vs. quality.

And then he buys an RV......

Yes - let's raise our glass to next September!

Robert, I drink so little that I could be classified as a non-drinker. But, a little tasting now and then is nice.

Those sparkling fruit drinks are good!

Big Plans for the FaN??

Besides "driveway woman cave," the FaN serves as "corporate HQ" for my little gourmet-food company.

I really need less bed and more office space.

So, I have a rough plan in my head which involves the removal of the queen-sized bed. It will be replaced by a single bed which will be snug against one wall. The other wall will be devoted to computer/desk/office space.

"If" we get the contract to supply a specialty store in Asia - it will be done. (I know one shouldn't count their chickens before they hatch - but I have been head-over-heels excited about the possibility. After all the hard work.....getting kicked.....then kicked again.......the sun could finally be rising....in the far east)?

I'm excited for you, FaN, and hope it goes thru.

I have seen some nifty ideas for small space offices in the tiny house blogs, if you haven't looked at those.

Would it be easier to buy an already assembled shed and a space heater and make that the office in the backyard?

Gene, clients love the cachet of the Airstream! It's part of the shitz.
Like a lawyer - I can charge more!

Besides that, I don't know how long I'll be parked here. An Airstream improvement is always mobile.

I would also have room to put a comfortable wing chair in the bedroom/office so I'd have a place to relax and read.

So thrilled for you to bring your dream to fruition.
Your idea to remove the queen bed, replace it with a smaller one, and add office space sounds good.
Will you be hosting business meetings in the FaN? If so, you may wish to have your bed out of sight. Two options come to mind. One is some type of twin sized Pullman bed at the end of the trailer. The other is to have a comfortable chair that converts to a bed.
Not sure if you have ever looked at the Hoffman architecture website but they certainly do some incredible renovations.
Please keep us posted about the business and the renovations.

PS when are you coming to New Orleans?

Business space in an AS

Have been busy doing lot so photos lately, little time for Air forums. But, as i heard the word "food", and making money from unhatched eggs, I knew I was in the right place.....LOL.

And, for you, FaN, when the really big contract comes through...think, Bunkhouse 30 footer, make the bunk bed area into an office....or....the enter front queen area.....yeah!

And, the sun always rises.....

MsMoto's suggestion is way better than mine BUT assumes that you would part with the FaN.
Your call, of course. Please keep us posted.

PS and when exactly are you coming to New Orleans? In time for Jazz Fest? Perfect!
