Everybody knows that we here in Louisiana will eat Anything so come on down for a test drive!

But if your food idea is healthy you'd best fry it to sell it here...

Hi Annie! I love what you wrote - about stealing one's soul. I tend to feel the same about writing teachers. I cringe when another teacher starts carping on about "the rules of writing."

In past, I always associated business with something that was laden with rules; a non-creative pursuit. I was wrong. Business is the epitome of creative challenge. And I like it.

That open road still beckons. When the biz coach asked where I'd like to be in five years, I told him that if the biz is a success, I would pursue succession, but would like to remain on as a creative consultant so I could get back to Airstreaming.

That is the dream.

In the meantime, I look forward to reading everyone else's road stories.

That road ahead looks familiar -
going back.

Dear FaN,

Pray tell, what does "V2 a gourmet food product" mean? So much shorthand.

There are some things we won't fry. Red beans and rice, for example.

But you can get "blackened" anything!

Being an entrepreneur is another adventure like traveling. Quick decisions, unanticipated problems, creative solutions are necessary. I hope it tastes good too.

Welcome to the Breakfast Show.......

I used to eat out a lot at a place called Bennigans with a friend who always ordered their monte cristo (ham and cheese deep fried with powdered sugar and raspberry jam)-- ugh. I tried it once but could not eat more than half. It was too much for me. My fav on the menu was the fried chicken salad. I have never found one to be as good as theirs was- yes the Kilkenny Chicken Salad. They went out of business about three years ago in our area.

Ahh beignets, happy memories of the Cafe Du Monde in Nola. I was at the farmers market last Saturday in Cape Coral, Fl where there was a stand making and selling beignets along with the Cafe du Monde branded chicory coffee. The guy in line ahead ahead of me turned back to me and said "man, I love these but this is the first time I've ever had one sober".....

Oh that fry anything place would be a huge success here! Maybe FaN should take the idea to Shark Tank?

Oh yeah I remember Bennigans... But back in the day we called it Phenergans because we needed those anti nausea meds after a too happy " happy hour"
