I'll have to head to the barn and ask, hey Yeller, where to next?

Interesting bit of military information, Pro!

My aunt must have been a drill sargent in a past life because whenever she would take us for a walk and we started complaining about being tired, she would give us a heavy rock to carry. When she thought we had enough, she'd take the rock and tell us that the walk would now be easier!

JD, I was aware of the change from silver to red. I bet the change had something to do with the new marvel known as Technicolor (circa 1939).

I have been a fan of the film since I was a kid; would have loved to Airstream to the proposed Wizard of Oz Theme Park in Kansas, but the project was squashed.

You take such beautiful pics.

Maybe Airstream will buy that one from you and put it in an advertisement!

That would make a great ad..."find your yellow brick road..in an Airstream"

Maggie, I like it, but I don't think Airstream would embrace it.

Well, they should.

They just don't appreciate fine art.

"Where could your ruby slippers take you? Buy an Airstream.....and find out."

Perhaps with an Airstream in an OZ-like setting. ???

I couldn't agree more - could be one of the best ad slogans ever - "find your yellow brick road...in an Airstream".

Airstream, are you watching?

You've got some sleeper talent, right here under your fingers.

FaN, do you copyright your pics?

Maggie, I do not copyright my pics. Am a bit selective about some of the extended writing I post online after someone plagiarized an article.

On the Road Again.....in a Different Kind of Way.

Am looking forward to tonight; will be giving-back by walking in the 10k Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser for the homeless.

I am so fortunate to have my nice snug Airstream bed to come back to.

Many do not have a bed....anywhere.

Can you imagine what they would think of an Airstream? It would seem like a palace.

Wish me luck!

Bundle up and stay warm, and I hope you have a warmer pair of shoes than those seen in your Avatar.

God bless you for your efforts to help others less fortunate. We joke around a lot here on the forum, but there are some things that need to be kept in solemn perspective, such as the plight of others who are in need. Thanks for the time you are willing to devote to their aid. For that, I am your fan, and I applaud you.

Dennis and Maggie, thanks for your good wishes. The walk began and ended at the Salvation Army shelter for the homeless. Over 100 walkers turned out - thousands across Canada. Last year the walk raised 2.4M. Let's hope they will exceed that figure this year. It was well organized. My only complaint is with the politicians who always have to get in on the action with another self-serving send-off speech that kept us shivering in the cold too long.

It was a knarly night; rain, snow, and sleet. The Salvation Army provided hot chocolate stations along the way. Oh boy, that sweet warm-up tasted good!

When I returned to the shelter, the homeless with their shopping cars were already lined up outside. They are at maximum capacity tonight (50 beds).

Dennis, my trusty Sketchers and a warm pair of socks served me well!

Fan: during the speeches prior to the walk your only mistake was not being closer to the speaker, all the hot air coming out of the politician may have kept you warmer

Glad to see the warmer shoes, but they reminded me of an old song about wearing tan shoes with pink shoe laces, I have once again aged myself, although I was truly only a very small child and so it is a distant memory

I am sure you are up this morning FLY (or still up?) to watch your favourite men play the big hockey game????

It should make a great 'BREAKFAST SHOW'.

but not walking the walk.

Now that both Canadian hockey teams have defeated the US teams again, we must give up become a territory of Canada until we are able to govern ourselves and be made a province.

Congratulations.
