FaN, I think you may have had a double whammy on the 12th. May be a good time to go up the highway towards Hope. Jim

Yes, Great photo. I think most of us have been there at some point but have not had the direction demonstrated so clearly. Jim

Sunday morning, 9 AM. Safe here. Not so much on the off topic thread. Thanks FaN. Jim

I was just thinking the same thing.

Good morning, fans-and-followers-of-FaN.

She's probably not up yet, being something of a night person, but maybe she'll drop in after awhile.

Hi Jim,

Glad you're safe. Considering the current turmoil in the world -
"safe" is an admirable condition.

Hi Maggie, yes. The Elvis thing is going on in the FaN. Up all night, then sleep all day with the furnace turned off and black-out curtains drawn.
(kidding).

I don't need much sleep in the FaN because I sleep so well there. I have the best driveway bedroom in the world, IMO. So, am usually up at 5 a.m. working on the aviation rag.

The dog had a bit of a bounce back (maybe it's the custom meals she is getting of steak of and salmon which is her favourite).

Sorry there hasn't been much on The Breakfast Show to "follow" lately....unless you want to hear all about the pilot pre-flight walk-a-round checklist for the Boeing 737. It's kinda boring......z-z-z-z-z-z

Always good to hear from you, FaN.

Hope we can entice you to a meet-up in Wyoming in August.

Hey, if it isn't Boeing, I'm not going!

Worked for Boeing over 20 years while NOT building airplanes personally. Was a computer guy for them.

Kewl.

I rub elbows with many pilots - active and retired. Some have flown Boeing. Some have flown Airbus. Some have flown both. Most of them are in love with their current ride, although a few definitely possess some anti-Airbus sentiments.

I am not a pilot so am not qualified to form any kind of professional opinion, but I believe in buying American (especially when many of Boeing's suppliers are Canadian).

BTW, I have the same sticker above my Airstream entrance. I'm not paid much for editing the aviation rag, but I do receive a few goodies. Boeing was most generous - received a jacket from them. Like their airplanes, it is comfortable and well made!

Saw video of many of the tests on the Dreamliner. Amazing tough airplane. Crosswind landings at high altitude in South America with nose at almost 45 degrees to runway, plant it on in tons of tire smoke and then hard swing parallel to centerline. Can imagine the flight crew yelling "yeeeehaaawwww"!
When they 'stuck' the landing...😄😄😄

The passenger seats would probably change color during such an event.
