Weather in Jasper

We are planning a trip to the Banff/Jasper area the week of September 7th thru the 14th. I notice that most of the campgrounds in the Jasper area close on either Sept. 1 or Sept. 15.

Does this mean I can expect snow on this trip?

Thanks;

John

Yes, but it (usually) does not last long; the first snow of the season in the Rockies is awe-inspiring!

Hi John- we were there a few years ago, around Labor day or a little after, and had a week of cold rain, but never approached freezing temps. Look at the 10-day forecast a few days before you go, and then decide. That area is the most beautiful I've seen in North America, somewhat reminiscent of the Alps. Hope you have great weather! -tim

Going back through my road files, we had a first "dusting" at Mosquito Creek CG in Jasper on Sept. 27th.
