Has anyone camped in the infield at Watkins Glen Race Course & ,if so, did you enjoy it & what location would you recommend?

We ended up near Gate 1 on Wedgewood Road. It was plenty loud enough all night! Earplugs are not just for raceday! It was fun, but the next trip we stayed at Hickory Hill CG in Bath. 40 minutes to the track and a clean quiet place to stay.

Hi from AZ. . . Many moons ago we went to a Camel GT race weekend there in my VW camper. Enjoyed it & yep it was pretty loud all night. They asked how I wanted my eggs cooked for breakfast at one of the food stands. Loved it. As far as the place to park it, as far away from the commercial stuff as you can get would be best. Regards, Craig

Thanks for the input. Will bring earplugs - hopefully Sept classic car race is more of a wine & cheese crowd - not that there's anything wrong with the other races - just getting older.

Probably not. Take some video and pictures to share, sounds like way to much fun.
