Mac - ask for the Wal-Mart Atlas. It lists all the Wal-mart locations. Usually it's in the book/magazine section, and you can find it at the checkouts also.

Walmart overnight

This is a great website that has a current list of Walmarts that DON'T allow overnight parking:

How up to date is that website? I'm just curious about the validity of it because it doesn't list the Wal-Mart in Seabrook, NH that doesn't allow overnight camping.

IMHO, the most current Wal-Mart camping information can be found in the road atlas published by Wal-Mart.

Not to sound simple but when I was in Montery Co. I went into a local Grocery store made a few purchases and then asked to speak with the on-duty mgr...for permission... the answer was( of course you can) however the police may ask you to leave...he thought the city did have a law against overnighter's in parking lot's

He forgot to mention the parking lot sweeper's that start befor dawn... LOL

Unhappy Oh No, A Wal-Mart in Mount Olive!

Well Mount Olive, NC, population 5,000 is about to change forever. Wal-mart just had a grand opening here. I expect all the mom and pop businesses to fade away, Mayberry is about to change forever. They had RV's spending the night in their lot before they even opened. I will have to check to see if they have an Atlas.

Progress? Maybe.

I had done this 3 years ago and to tell you the truth I could not find it tonight myself. It was free when I did it then but with many things today they farm them out. I have used the below link for other stores - if you go to their home page you will see them. The download is $5 but I am sure it's a good source. Good Luck, I'll keep looking for the free site.

I would think that staying at many Walmarts would be right up there with camping at a highway rest stop.
You see some strange individuals shopping at Walmarts these days.

Wal-mart sells a version of the Rand-McNally atlas that has a list of stores in the front and I believe they are marked on the maps..
