Joy, that is site 9. The other side of the boardwalk beach entrance visible in the picture is site 8, also very good, maybe even better. Best, Joe

Ellery, the other place you have to check out is Grayton Beach SP in Florida (where we are right now.) It's only about 18 miles east of Topsail where you will be in about a month for Canopener. Take a couple of hours and check out Grayton Beach SP and also the little town of Seaside right next door for a future family trip.

Just stayed down the road from 30A, in Miramar Beach this past November. Made a couple trip down 30A and enjoyed sight seeing in most of the little towns. Great record shop in Seaside. Did a late night drive to see the X-mas lights. Also make a stop in Stinky's bait shop and Bar. Check out Shade's at the eastern end of 30A where it meets back up with 98. Wide selection of beer and good food. Enjoy

Henderson is really nice. Near the beautiful white sand beaches, but not on the beach. Couple things. There's practically no shade and they only have water and power hook-ups.
We're going to try and stay there next fall. Stayed near there this Thanksgiving week and road thru Henderson to have a look.

The park was redone after a hurricane. Paved sites, 30 and 50 amps, and each site with sewer. Nice heated or air condition bathrooms, swimming pool with splash pad in season! Lighted tennis courts and a great bike trail connects at the very back of the campground for 13 miles of paved trails through the back woods. Ask about the Back country bike trail when you check in. Try to get a site on the lake if you come. The beach is not far away, but it is a short drive in the car.
