Uh, if that’s rainwater, I’d say it’s time to be concerned

It is, and it has been. Campground could use some engineering on proper road camber and site drainage. But, hey, free swimming and rinsing of your door mat.

My doggies would absolutely hate having to wade in that to go for a walk....they are very fussy about keeping their feet dry.

That was my strategy with the Skydeck, I expect the dogs to pee on the roof patio that I will outfit with fake grass. From there they can see the park and bark if they want, but don't have to sit tied up to the bumper and can go in and out as they please.

That's all nice but dog pee is real corrosive to aluminum. Make allowances for it.

Skydecks are mostly Fiberglas panels...

No he is right, the roof is covered by aluminum furniture AND the awning rail that attaches the roof is more aluminum. That is a valid point. I will have to take care.

Also: dogs have been known to jump off high places in pursuit of birds and butterflies unless there is some kind of fencing to stop them.

The deck has a rail for keeping animals (like us) in, but if they got up on the front cowl they could slide all the way to the ground. That would be unfortunate. Another good point. I am getting nervous about letting the guys up there w/o a tether. Kind of the whole reason to have such a patio was to NOT need a leash. Darn.

Maybe a fence with the hinges on the edges of the roof that folds down to make the roof a covered dog pen? And stands upright for human use?

I know the steps in the sky deck is really steep. I think my little furry one could get up ok but don’t think he could get down without help. Is there anyway to attach chicken wire to the perimeter to create a barrier? Or very large portable dog creat?

The steps are identical to the ones in our home, I don't find them steep at all.

View over my Avenue "camped" in my driveway.
Reddish/yellow-beige sky at sunset due to African Sahara dust in the atmosphere. Somewhat less dust today than yesterday. But more dust due on Wednesday.
