Video: Airstream Trip Europe / Italy 2012 Part1

Hey,

attached you find the first part of our Italy 2012 trip with our Airstream 684.

Merano, Lake Garda, Florence and Pisa are overed in this part 1 video...

Island of Elba, Lake Lago Maggiore and Pass St. Gotthard will be the second part coming soon..

Unfortunately we could not make it this time to the leaning tower of Pisa to renew the famous picture of the european caravan, just to crowded theses days and streets blocked around the tower...maybe another time..

Enjoy :-)

Best seen in a new window in hd quality and full screen..

Nice footage, thank you for sharing. Also enjoyed seeing the VW camping bus next to you.

Very nice. Would be interested in seeing how the camera is mounted. Sal.

Certainly a professional grade video and editing. I too would love to know what the mount was for your vidcam.

Also, did you yourself compose and record the music? It fits beautifully with the video, and is right on point.

Thanks for sending us the link! Sure wish I could take my AS over there for a holiday... ::sigh::

Hey there :-),

Thanks for the nice feedback :-)

The camera is a gopro hero HD with a suction cup mount...
Works very well and is easy to install...
I also have a wireles remote to start and stop it from the car...
checkout gopros website for further information...

The music is a free music from youtube called "A beautifull day" by Ryan Houston...
Happy you like it, i also thought it would fit well to the movie... finding a nice music is always a big challenge...

Best
Armin

What a great video!! Looks like a wonderful trip. You've inspired me to think outside the box to photograph our Airstream. I'll be upgrading my DSLR soon, but I may also need this handy-dandy gopro, FUN FUN FUN!!! Thanks for sharing your video. Safe travels!

Oh that was absolutely wonderful and so inspiring!!! Thank you sooooo much for sharing it with us!! The landscape was absolutely stunning and I loved the part where you must have filmed the "aerial" view of your campsite with a hexacopter??

ahenu,

What software do you use to edit your video? Awesome job. Not to mention your experience, you must have been trained or doing it a long time.

Wonderful!

Your videos are all terrific. What a dream come true for us to be able to go to Europe with our airstream. But, since that will never happen, I can live vicariously through your travels. Love your airstream-so many cool features that we don't have in the US!

Hey, here's a thought. What if there was an airstream trade program? U.S. owners could trade use of their TV/Airstream combo with other owners from different countries. There is no better way to see the world than from an Airstream and that would give the opportunity to do just that without the cost prohibitive option of shipping your stream overseas. Is their any interest in something like this?

I use Adobe premiere elements. It came with one of my computers 3 years ago and since then I am editing my videos with it.
I am not a professional its just my hobby. I always loved photographing and filming. Since 2007 we run the German Airstream dealership and I have a 2009 Airstream International myself for the family. This is where hobby and job come together :-)

Interresting Idea !
I have once met an US Airstreamer in Europe just by chance on the road with our airstream. We had a little chat and he offered me to use his Airstream in exchange of using mine some other time over here in Europe.
We have a few plattform over here for changing houses or flats with each other... So why not a plattform globaly for Airstream Exchange ?

What would be the right word in english for this ?

Armin

If you haven't clicked on the link of the company aheun works for, you may want to check it out, even though it is all in german. But the pictures a worth a thousand words
www.airstream-germany.de
then click on Vermietung to see the units they have for rent. Some have most beautiful conversions and all have been converted to european safety standards, i.e. much lower tongue weight and specialty heating units.
