Vermont Cheese Trail

We are planning a trip to Vermont in June and are looking for a central location to camp with a 25ft Safari so we can enjoy the Vermont Cheese Trail. Any suggestions for campgrounds? Thanks.

Just curious, I have never heard of the "Vermont Cheese Trail". Could you please provide some details, including your planned travel route, the model of Airstream you have, and the type of camping you had in mind (e.g., full hookups, RV resorts, national/state campgrounds, boondocking, etc.). -- Thanks!

I live in Vermont and love cheese. The cheese trail really covers the whole state. I would suggest that that you consider splitting the state in 2 parts: northern and southern. Don't forget that Vermont also has the most microbreweries per capita, so do the beer tour at the same time!
I live in the north and suggest that you might like to try Apple Island resort in South Hero. You will be on Lake Champlain and close to Burlington.

I first read about the Vermont cheese trail in the Wall Street Journal last summer. I have since found articles in National Geographic driving trips and at VermontVacations.com. We will be pulling a Safari 25 foot AS and will probably need full hookups as one of my sons will also come up for a week and has a one year old. Thanks.

Thanks for the help. My oldest son and family will also use the Airstream for a week in Vermont and he loves your beers. What a great combination for a summer vacation.
