Can you provide more description? What panel are you asking about?

Use or store switch - put it on store for short periods of non-use when it's not hooked to power.

However, there are still a few phantom draws - the CO detector is one I believe. Remove the battery or batteries if you're putting it into storage for an extended time. Keep the batteries in a cool dry place. Consider a charge minder to keep them topped off too.

Thank You for your replies any idea the draw that the CO Detector takes ? Initial check of the battery was close to 100% now after 3 weeks with no shore power down to about 80% does this sound about right ?

Down 80% in 3 weeks sounds like something is drawing off power. My CO and smoke detectors use 9 volt batteries, not sure about the propane detector.

I would think anytime you aren't actively using the trailer the switch should be in 'store', that's where we keep ours. That should cut off all power in the trailer. There could be other direct connections on the batteries, like the trailer tongue electric jack. You can also lose power if your battery terminal connections are dirty. Check those to make sure they're clean and have a light coating of grease.

Like Paula says, if you take the batteries out, you want to make sure they're always charged. You want a charger that turns off after the charge is reached, not trickle, or you can monitor the charge and disconnect when they are full, checking every couple of weeks.

How old are the batteries?
What type? Do you know if they are AGM or standard deep cycle? Are there caps on the top to allow you to check the acid level or are they sealed?

Batteries are less than a year old and clean,

I have a Battery Tender that I use for charging

The Batteries are interstate Deep cycle They are not AGM, I do have access to check the fluid levels The trailer itself is a 2012 Flying Cloud

I will check the switch and make sure it is set to 'Store' as well

The current LPG detector is direct to the battery. The Use/Store switch has no effect.

Your LPG detector is wired directly to your trailer
battery and incorporates a 1 amp, in-line fuse. It has no
internal battery backup. In normal stand-by mode, the
LED indicator will be green.

So there is a battery draw, less than 1 amp. I tried to find a manual for the unit on the Atwood site but didn't find anything with more detail on the draw. 3 weeks would draw it down. 80% level not sure.

The propane detector will typically draw 0.1 to 0.2 amps.

Sorry for All of the rookie questions but where is the propane detector and exactly what does it detect level of the propane, the refer when switched to propane ???

You should find the propane detector low on the wall. Ours in on the bulkhead wall adjacent to the refrigerator. Directly opposite the stove in our configuration. It's about 3"x4" or so and has a flashing light. It will beep if propane is detected. If I recall there is a re-set on it. One time we came home to find it beeping so something set it off. But only 1x.
