US 24 across Indiana?

Leaving on a trip to Ohio, and wanted to know if anyone is familiar with US 24 across Indiana? We have traveled on an eastern section of it and it was excellent, but wondered about the quality of road surface and traffic use all the way to Fort Wayne.

Thanks,

Rod & Jane

I-70 is so bad across Indiana that a few of us took US-36 to Alumapalooza instead. It was in great shape. I'd imagine US-24 to be the same.

We drive 24 from Illinois into Indiana several times a year.

Good road through nice small towns.

I took 24 this summer after visiting in the Ann Arbor area. It was a good decision. Near Toledo, there is come construction, but after a few miles, it is a nice, scenic highway with moderate traffic. Nearer to Fort Wayne, it is brand new 4-lane, so new that my GPS thought I was out in open fields. A bit of construction right at Fort Wayne puts you on local roads for a couple of miles. The new construction is really smooth.

I would use 24 again.
