Years ago at a rangers campfire in Yellowstone a ranger talked about the number of tourists that are injured by Bison each year. The fact is that Bison can out run and out jump humans. Many of the injuries were life threatening and several were disabling. Longer lenses are a better idea.

just like virtually every other critter out there....

it seems the modern bison have become MUCH more aggressive,

now that eating their wings is popular.

Just wondering....if clipping their wings make them less aggressive - sort of like neutering a dog - no wings on the one on the board walk, and apparently no aggression....

Enquiring minds want to know....

Why... those critters are ALL tame! You can just walk up to them, pet them, or do pretty much anything you want. They don't care. They're just big and cuddly.

Here's a couple of shots to prove it!

The first one is our friend Roxanne, and the second is Laurie and me leaning on one!

I don't know WHAT you guys are afraid of...

Roger

Tourists are injured and killed just about every year from Bison in Yellowstone. Remember, it's their habitat, not ours. Wildlife is unpredictable. I've seen elk charge women before. Stay safe, so that you can enjoy more parks and wildlife from the comfort of your TV and TT.
