I have driven the 60 from Alpine to Show Low many times with the trailer and it is not a problem. The section from Springerville to Show Low is very flat with very little elevation changes, but it can be a little windy at times. You could take 260 from Springerville to Show Low. It takes you through several towns like Pinetop and Lakeside.

I don't know about 180, but I've driven a semi from Socorro to Show Low on US 60 and that was a fine road and easy driving.

Hwy 89 from Wickenburg to Precott area

I also have a question. I am headed from Wickenburg to Kirkland, AZ towing my 22 ft Aistream. Can anyone tell me if it is full of switchbacks?

Julianne---Hwy 89 between Congress and Yarnell is steep with lots of curves, but the highway lanes are generously wide in this section. As you continue on towards Prescott, there is a ten mile or more section of road that has tight radius turns and the lane width is fairly narrow. If you enjoy this type of driving, you'll do fine with the 22ft trailer. If you don't like this type of driving, take I -17 north and then west on hwy 69 to the Prescott valley and then Prescott.

If I may... Go slow and enjoy 89... I wish I had time to wright a book! It would be about highway 89... It is in my mind the best Highway in America! Grand Canyon... Bryce Canyon... Grand Teton...Yellowstone...Glacier... National Parks and much much more... Who cares about the road enjoy the ride! It is the road less traveled!

Thanks for the info! I love a road less traveled as long as it doesn't include white knuckles. I won't be in any hurry, plan to take my time and enjoy the ride!
