Turkey Day Camping Circa Birmingham

Some hills- a multi-speed bike works-
My wife works hard to pedal a single-speed beach cruiser. I ride a 24-speed Trek comfort bike-
COE parks are da bomb- clean, big level pads-

We are now booked for Port St. Joseph State Park in Florida for 4 day weekend thanksgiving! So excited.

Had to book (for now) two different sites as no one single site was available thur-sun...but hoping one pops up between now and then.

oh, and PS - we loved burchfield branch park CoE park from a few weeks ago...our spot was amazing as was iggywalker’s who was next door enjoying the weekend with us. Only annoyance was the beach area had little fire ants galore and kids got a number of bites...you could simply not sit in the sand....that was annoying...even to the point that unless they reassured otherwise, I would not bring the kids back if in any sort of ant season time of year....loved the spots though RIGHT ON the water....and other sites up in the wooded upper section of the park were amazing as well...

THanks for the tip. I will check it out. It is not that far away. We are going to try to stay up this way this fall as opposed to going to FL in the fall like we have been.
