Tucson, shop til you drop

We just did our semiannual "Shop til you drop" trip to Tucson.
A few tips right now, I10 from Willcox to I19 is a obstacle course.
In Tucson they have stripped it down to the old concrete and its bounce, bounce bounce, Then half way to Benson, on going construction, Benson, they are moving the entire highway over taking out the curve. Bottom
line is I have a BROKEN right front window to show for it.
WE stay at Justins Diamond J campground, it is PassPort America part of the year, and we take the last row, a lot of wildlife along there to watch.
Had a great lunch at the interesting shopping area around 4th and 4th (actually 6th & 4th) Restaurant was called Delectable, pricey but extremely good. Huge choice of interesting looking places, almost did Pancho Villas..
My wife loves plants, anyone visiting Tucson should find Mesquite Growers.
It is out around 8000 E. Speedway, a truly awesome place, in full bloom right now.
Tucson Botanical Gardens is also nice to visit to see plants, etc.
So until our list of things we cannot get at Walmart gets long again,
we will not be in Tucson..

Bummer about the window. Sounds like California roads.
Love the Tucson area..

Next time you get to Tucson go to a place called "Sauce". Highly recommend it. On our trip to Florida and back we went through Willcox-Benson-Tucson along I-10 and can agree on the road condidtions. Going north from Tucson to Mesa, we went 79 and avoided all of the Phoenix-Tucson traffic, plus alot of scenery and a drive through Florence is always cool.

Thanks for the tip, we travel that stretch in the fall from Las Cruces. Will keep a eye on their "progress".

Glass breakage is covered by your insurance policy.

Perhaps it's time to add a "rockgurad".

Love going to the huge street craft show they have each year on 4th st. in Tucson, one of the biggest and best we have seen, always lots of different stuff.

It is often in March, which is when we tend to be in Tucson, but this year it was scheduled for April and we normally target tp be home in Canada for 01 April.
