Trussville, Alabama:Any RV Parks Nearby?

We've got family in Trussville, near Birmingham, but the closest RV camping place we know of is Oak Mountain State Park, which is 45 minutes away. Amazing to me is that KOA and others are not in the Birmingham area, as far as we know.

Any private parks or suggestions, please? Thanks for your help!

Not much around here. It's disappointing. Oak Mountain will not be convenient to you and the campground there leaves a lot to be desired. You could give the following a look. It will also be about 45 minutes away from Trussville.

Hoover, Alabama: RV Park

Campground Near Birmingham, Alamama

Rickwood Caverns State Park - Warrior, AL - (205) 647-9692 - Bing Local

We stayed at this small campground a couple of years ago. It does have several large Motorhome type sites and 10, or so, regular campsites. The hiking trail was fun, but we didn't go into the Caverns.
There is an olympic sized swimming pool and a connected bath house. It was about 20 miles north of Birmingham.

Tannehill Ironworks State Historical Park has very nice RV facilities, less than 30 minutes from downtown Birmingham according to their website.

I've stayed there.

You might do a member search and see if someone is willing to host campers that lives closer than the campgrounds.
