Trip Insurance

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with Trip Insurance? I am planning a cross country trip to Yellowstone/Tetons next year involving several flights for my wife and the little ones, two expensive guided tours, and a number of campsite reservations. A mechanical issue or medical issue could ruin the whole thing, the cost is pretty substantial. I'm thinking I should look at insurance, obviously I'd weigh in the cancelation policies of the various vendors. Thanks.

we have used Travelguard alot. as usual, read the fine print, there is a lot of it! but for trips planned way in advance it is mandatory if you have health issues. joe in MN

Even as a longtime member of the AAA, I never thought to look at all of their services. What I am most concerned about is mechanical issues/ delays causing changes or lost reservations but I don't see where car breakdowns are a " covered" event? I'm going to go over to my local AAA brink and talk to them. I did see travel guard, I'll check that out as well thanks

AAA trip stuff

I have AAA; the basic plan will only tow you 10 mi !!!. I got the gold upgrade to tow 100 mi. You can actually "upgrade" on the spot if you're in the ditch and help is far away. joe in MN(don't ask how I know this)
