Thanks for posting it so others could learn too. I made a mental note not to ever leave hope without full tanks!

Removed all the inside trim from the skylight, and it appears that there is more than one leak.......why in the world did AS have to install those %#&! things anyway?? Hopefully the rains will stop by this weekend so we can make some temporary repairs until it is replaced.

Great story and, just a perfect ending..Keep em coming~!
Paula makes an excellent point about pre TV days..Books, simple puzzles and, cards goes a long, long ways during raining spells..
Question, I noticed the yr on your trailer..Did you check with A/S and, see if they will cover the repairs on that leak under warranty? You would think that their world famous water test bed would have discovered it~
Just a thoughts on the new/rebuilt tranny..
Not sure about your model..
I always replace the tranny fluid after every 6k miles of hard towing.
So far, I have over 200K plus miles on the original..
Good luck on the upcoming trip~
ciao

Good story, well told Chief and one I've made a mental note about as well. Your cup is half full rather than half empty in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

Skylight Repair

You are correct. One of the first stops on our 30-day Western adventure will be Airstream of Arkansas. The good folks there already have us scheduled, along with some other items that I wanted done. We're having the wrap-around smoke-colored lexan rock guards installed on the rear windows......same as we currently have on the front. This should reduce the enterior heat during the Summer, as well as providing more privacy without closing the curtains. The only potential problem I can forsee is.....if I have a bit of Jack & Coke I might not be able to tell which direction the trailer is headed!

We're getting pretty excited about the "Big Trip"......it's been in the planning stages for over six months. I can't wait to put 14 more of those little state stickers on my map.....before the adhesive drys up!
