Dumplin12,

Welcome to the forums.

It's probably a little north of your route, but they'll be quite a few at the BASH V -north of Pittsburgh on July 3-6. Otherwise, there are often many miles between sitings...

Have a safe journey,

Marie and Roy

I am heading to Aberdeen Md. (actually North East Md.) Thursday, staying until Tuesday. I was on the Eastern Shore of Va for a week, (2 weeks ago) stayed at Kiptopeke state park. Really nice there
Really like the eastern shore area.

Most of the Airstreams are probably out west. On a nine day trip from Ohio to Arizona and back, I saw darn few Airstreams east of the Mississippi. RV's in general seem thinner on the ground in the east, though there are many of them. As soon as I cross into Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, etc. it seems like the number of them on the road skyrockets, as does the number of RV dealerships.

That may be because they are a higher percentage of RV owners (and hence more dealerships) out west. Maybe lots of us choose to vacation in the west. Maybe in the west RV dealerships are more likely to be close to the interstate. I'm not sure, any or all of these may be true, but Airstreams and RV's in general do seem to be more prevalent out west.

I remember one vacation I was driving down some mountain road in Colorado, and literally every fifth or sixth vehicle was either a motorhome or towing a trailer. Airstreams were a small percentage, of course, but with such a large sample size I saw at least two during a drive of about an hour duration.

Dumplin 12,
Welcome to the Forum!
I'm IN Iowa and my Airstream is presently parked beside my garage.
Quite a few are in Wyoming, now, for the WBCCI International rally. They will be hitting the roads in a few days.

I'm in Virginia Beach. I know of at least 10 here in the city. Unfortunately most are not in very active use.

I remember once I got my first one, I started seeing them everywhere, in storage lots, farm outbuildings, yards, alleys, and of course repurposed as coffee shops, etc.

But on the road, you'll see hundreds of SOBs for every Airstream.

Sometimes we see three or four on a two-hour drive. Other times we won't see any during a 5 hour drive. It's all chance.
