Trailers Trash

Hi there;
I'm just coming from a trip in the south California, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon , Monument Vallée, route 66, Anza borrego ( tried to see rich Luhr...), and i've taken lot of pictures of this fabulous country; not many aistreams on the road, but some trailers trash as the name of the book. i don't know if they are inside but i wonder how we can let these trailers in so poor condition when you know they were in the movie: Bagdad cafe. i ve found them at this famous café, Newberry spring, cal, Route 66. 1 Airstream & 1 Avon.

Pop up spam on your link....

I clicked on your link at the bottom of your post to try reading it and was immediately slammed with spam ads. When I closed your link, the spam ads followed.......
I am going to clean out my memory cache and history of sites visited and log back in, but you may want to remove your link at the bottom of your posting. I have a new eMac which never before has let spam in and you may have a virus in your site......

Jim,

Strange, I did not have a problem. Using Windows ME and Netscape 7.2.

I didn't get any spam per say just 2-3 popup ads that were blocked by Mozila and AdBlock.

I think Jim may be calling popups Spam, just in case here is a good definition of Spam. Spam and popups are both a pain.

spam (spăm)
n.
Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail.
tr.v., spammed, spam·ming, spams.
  1. To send unsolicited e-mail to.
  2. To send (a message) indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups.
[From SPAM (probably inspired by a comedy routine on the British television series Monty Python's Flying Circus, in which the word is repeated incessantly).]

Sorry I missed you Bruno. Did you travel through Phoenix on your western trip? Sad to see the old Airstreams just gathering dust.

Hey Bill ~
Check out those windows on the Avion. Look to be pretty close to what you need?

Brad,

You are right, they are close. But it would be a shame to destroy a trailer for a few windows.

"Spop" - a new term for irritating & unsolicited messages

In the true sense, I was experiencing "Pop-ups"....
But pop-ups were designed originally to solicit business from targeted groups.
The pop-ups I got almost immediately when I tried to translate a posting on this link from French to English were immediate. I could not close all the windows when I tried to. After leaving the link & returning to the Forum, the pop-ups followed. I had to log out of the Forum, shut down my eMac, clear my cache & history, and then turn on my computer and log back in to the Forum. We have a DSL provider and the latest eMac with OSX.
This had never happened before and I go all over the internet.....
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a term for mis-targeted and relentless pop-ups that have nothing to do with the subject matter you are viewing....
There is no forum symbol either.....
Hence, I christen thee unwanted and mis-targeted pop-ups - SPOP

Hi brad;

Instead of the way to Phoenix, , from flagstaff, we wanted to be on the route 66 in Arizona then in california because my wife wanted , absolutly, to see the famous bagdad café, at first... . Then, As we had to go back to los angeles, we had decided to see San Diego and triing to see, Rich Luhr ( Airstream life ) at the Anza borrego desert. I had thought to go to Phoenix but the route 66 wan. that was a choice;

Bruno.

hi jim, i think I've no virus on my site... only one comment and to do it, you have to duplicate a random suite of letters , then i accept or not, your message. No other way to introduce something in the blog.

i've tried the translated page (french to english ) with Google pop-up window accepting , and i agree with you, there was a link that appeared ... It's from google, not from my blog; sorry for that;
On the Google task bar, i always select the option, NO pop-up .

thank you .

Bruno.
