Great report. The quality of the German Wohnwagens (trailers/caravans) is something to behold. Its as is the folks who design them are real users.

If I recall correctly, the maximum legal width is something like 2.3 meters, about 8 inches narrower than a Bambi. Drat.

And there's nothing quite like the French campgrounds, where one of the seemingly mandatory registrations questions is: "Croissants or Baguettes in the morning?" If you answer "Croissants," the follow-on question is, "Regular or Chocolate?" Vive la France!

What size or class was the Citroen you had? Judging from your pictures and the "McRent" website info, it is difficult to see just what size you might "go one step up" to, to gain that extra space. Thanks for the info.
