Thanks for all the replys/advice. It was worth the question if only for Avionstream's whiskey advice !!!

Will be keeping our pro pride for now unless someone wants it with the sale of our 27 international. But I feel comfortable going to pick up our new Classic 30 without it when it comes in. Having pulled the international over 600 miles with just the ball in the last week and a half,no issues.
This has been mostly interstate miles (80%) with a relatively mild winds but many tractor-trailers passing us 15 to 20 miles an hour faster. We run 60/70mph.

Lonestar1 to your question I tow with a 2014 F-350 with factory computer controlled anti-sway and 2.5" hitch, for what that's worth. Enjoy your new rig!!!

One more thought. If you decide on using a weight distribution,anti-sway hitch the Pro Pride worked great when we where towing with my wife's SUV and the customer service is 2nd to none!

The Ford sway control can get pretty violent. Saw this Fast Lane Truck video. Granted they are pulling a trailer with about zero tongue weight...

I am near Atlanta tonight and had a scarey few minites when s smooth eoad suddenly wemt wasjboard. Complete flashback toy June 2013 wreck.... except this time I got it back under comtrol and everything remained shiney side up. Was the Hensley that much better than the old WD hitch? Was i going 5 mph slower? Was the road surface marginally better, or was it just luck?

Who cares really? I am not statistically significant. But I am keeping the Hensley... just because it feels safer?@

$250 bucks? Every new airstream should come standard with this module. End of debate.

This is like moving from a 1980's passenger car to 2017 with current vehicle dynamic stability control.

For me using the Hensley is more than sway control and weight distribution. I like it for the drivability factor. Driving is easier when I don't have to fight cross winds or bow waves from passing trucks. I find the hook up is easy as pie.
I have pulled a 25' Airstream Safari (late model heavy tongue weight) with my 3/4 ton truck over 300 miles one time on just the ball. The ride wasn't nearly as smooth or comforting as with a good hitch. You had to be on your toes when the trucks went by and the trailer was just more "twitchy".
Watching the above video certainly shows why the sway control on the truck only is a bad idea. The poorly weighted trailer pushed the heavy truck all over the road. In the right conditions you might find yourself heading for the ditch or jackknife situation. I can certainly see the merit of the Tucson system on the trailer, that's were a sway mitigated brake system would work best.
I will keep my hitch and you can have the whisky - BLAH!

Towing a big trailer with a F 150 is the first no no. That truck is for towing toys not big trailers. The observation I see with Airstreamers is many take it as a feather in their cap to tow the largest of trailers with the smallest of tow vehicles.

If some on here were in the freight hauling business they would haul big loads with a chev pickup.

I tow our 19' with our Silverado (with tow package) without a Wd or Sway, just the ball. I looked at the specs for both the truck and the trailer and decided that the WD and Sway were not required. Never had an issue with sway and could not ask for a better towing experience.

Towed my 27fb back from Florida with a Tundra on the ball. 7 hours of hell ride. Picked up a Pro Pride before out trip to New Mexico. What a difference. Also traded in the Toyota for a F350, that probably didn't hurt.

My theory is, if you spend that much on a new trailer, why not buy the safest hitch out there to keep you shiny side up. Drop in the bucket compared to a new truck and trailer, not to mention your life.

Towing.. sure.. I don't 'need' anything special... until I need it. I needed the ProPride right after I installed it..

There is no way I can change your mind.. but, if I put you behind the wheel with our rig and show you evasive maneuvers, you can decide whether you use your cash, check or charge to buy this hitch...
