Top Sail SP, Florida - Not the Canopener

Hi all.

I'm thinking of next May or so and wanting to reserve a spot at Top Sail. We haven't been there (to Top Sail, but we have been to the area), and were wondering if someone could help us out a little.

I know there are RV sites, tent sites, and cabins. Thinking of the rv sites, are they all the same, or are some better than others to rent?

I called the park, and talked with a "ranger" or someone, who said that they start filling up fast, so I thought I should get our reservation in asap.

Thanks.

Deb

All of the sites are nice. Some are pull through and some are back in. All sites are paved. The sites vary in length. Reserve America will give you the details on each site. Other than site length, you would probable be pleased with any one of the sites.

Go to the Canopener posts and you will be able to view actual photographs of many of the sites.

great park, you can't hardly go wrong, but if you want it quieter don't stay near the pool.

the sites ALL have basically the same space and hook ups.

they are all paved and lighted.

most are back in, some are pull throughs and some are on the water/gator lake or close 2 da'pool.

a few have LUMPY concrete from roots and need repair (they repair these regularly)

some have LESS privacy than others, some are very close to the shower building or laundry.

there are corner sites, end of row sites and n/s/e/w oriented sites (so awning/patio sun can be tweaked...

a few have essentially no privacy and traffic/access roads on 3 sides.

MOST have good drainage but a few collect water when it rains a lot.

the western most sites are much closer to the beach access road and tram line.
___________

LOOK at the very first can opener thread from 2006.

there are PHOTOGRAPHS of almost every site posted there.

and there is a LINK to another NONairstream website with photographs of every site.

then do the GOOGLE EARTH or other satellite view thing.

one can see the park arrangement pretty nicely via satellite.

ron (chief) and others have uploaded videos of the park, Utube style.

cheers

2air',

Thanks for both posts, I fully intended to thank you after your first, but somehow didn't; that first post really had a lot of info and will be very useful.

We have friends in southern Florida, so I think we are going to see if they want to drive their Moho up to meet us there to spend some time together in May. I know we are looking forward to time away on the Gulf Coast! (We could use some of the sun's warmth now!)

Topsail Hill

What a nice service. We have never been to Topsail, and we had to take one of the few left, so it appears we did just fine with our choice.

We'll post some more images after our trip.

Anne
