Cool trip Lynn! Susie & I planned a Zion/Bryce trip for this spring. Then it turned out she didn't have enough leave for the travel times involved. Had to take 2nd choice and go to Tuscany instead (no, not even Los Toscanos -- dang!). So we've put it off until she's retired next spring. Question -- what were the daytime temperature ranges you experienced? Thank you!
Nice job on the weblog! Your photography of the mountains and canyons is stunning!
Nice photos only because I took about a gazillion of them and deleted all but a very few! Now you can understand why I decided to go digital (Pentax K100D): I just couldn't afford my trusty old Pentax K1000 any more!

I hear ya! I do the same thing too! Back when I was shooting with film, I would easily spend $100+ in development costs after a trip. Yes, it did cost me a pretty penny for my digital Canon EOS 20D but I saw savings (from film developing) after 6 mos. Now I spend money on computer storage devices to hold all my large sized images!
We'll be at Zion for the first time in June. We're very excited. Thanks for the photos and narrative. Just remember, the pros throw out 9 out of 10 photos they take. And publish maybe 1 in 50 of the good ones!
Hi Lynn,
Glad they let you out
Looks like a nice trip. Did you pull your Airstream through the tunnel in Zion?
Nope, we took the long way around in order to avoid the tunnel! There were a lot of RVs up there, and I didn't cherish the idea of waiting around in a line of tall, white-sided fifth wheels and motorhomes in order to get through. Besides, the long way around goes through some pretty country!
