You could get all the back copies that are available of Airstream Life—the book is a reprint of the letters from there.

Buy the Kindle. I'm not a gadget person, but it takes about 5 minutes to forget it isn't a paperback. Carrying 3000 books in your purse or pocket - and having that weigh less than a pound can be really good too. Heck your worn out axles could get a year reprieve!

Cantankerous? Not at the start of the day. But some days you wake up grumpy - and other days you let her sleep in. That way you can shorten the period of time that you are legaly required to be cantankerous.

Itís not rocket science Mrs T. If you want him to be nice to you, go to the refrigerator and make him a sandwich.

Figure out if he wants pickles,
and JUST MAKE THE POOR MAN A SANDWICH!

I know I can get Cantankerous on trips. If my wife would just agree with everything I say when I get in that mood, (just to humor me of course) then I would probably get over it pretty quick... But then one of the 4 kids would do something and then I would be cantankerous again.. Maybe a cold beer would help. Not when driving though, just when you get to camp..

Because of open container laws, you have to stop and get out and then drink the beer. Then you can get back in and drive some more. Your wife is qualified run a blood alcohol test periodically to make sure you can still drive. I suppose she has a gas spectrometer with her at all times.
